Meter Reading
Cooperative Billing:
Meters in towns or villages and those servicing certain type of member-consumers may be read by the cooperative, and bills rendered to the member-consumer for each billing period in accordance with the applicable rate schedule. The bill shall show the present and previous readings, KWH usage, amount of bill -including all taxes, any unpaid or credit balance, and the member-consumer’s name, address, and account number, and date Gross bill will be charged. Gross bill will be charged after the due date, which will include a 10% penalty.
Estimated Billing:
The cooperative may render a bill based upon estimated usage:
- When extreme weather conditions, emergencies, or work stoppages prevent actual meter readings.
- In case of a dead meter an estimated bill or bills shall be rendered based on the usage when the meter was considered to be registering properly.
